Collectively there are a lot of members of the Chamber in Alberta and Canada, which allows us to obtain discounts on services not always available to smaller business owners. One value-added service is our group insurance plan. As a Chamber member you have access to better rates on insurance for you and your employees. Natural Gas and automobile gasoline discounts. Shipping, member-to-member premiums and discounts on merchant VISA and MasterCard rates are also available. These benefits alone can pay for your membership several times over.
To provide an opportunity for networking and advertising. The Chamber provides monthly networking luncheons with relevant and interesting speakers that give you the opportunity to get to know other business owners in the Sylvan Lake area, while keeping you informed. We also host many local events which include business after hour mixers and the Annual Mermaid Ball Awards Night, which rewards and recognizes local businesses in our community.
